Questioning your beliefs? Questioning world religions?
Questioning how to navigate your own life in this seeming chaotic world??
Well, you are not alone…The Gathering… has evolved from a group of young adults (ages 18’s, 20’s, 30’s) who are meeting with like minded people to discuss these questions, to find answers through analyzing universal truth and wisdom presented by
contemporary and historical religious teachers.
By studying and discussing different teachings we are opening the door for conversations about how to attain inner peace in ourselves and in the world, and therefore aiding in a global shift to a greater sense of awareness. This is an opportunity for open discussion and creative collaboration amongst our peers as we find ourselves in a time of intense change in our world and in our lives. A COURSE IN MIRACLES
TUESDAYS FROM 6:30-8:00 P.M. with Richard Mallett
Click here for the 2009 Reading Schedule

A COURSE IN MIRACLES is a self-study course consisting of three volumes - a Text, a Workbook For Students, and a Manual For Teachers. The teaching of the Course strikes at the heart of the basic human condition, which it characterizes as one of conflict, suffering and despair, fearful isolation from God, others, and even ourselves. The Course aims at the healing of this condition by affecting a profound change in our basic outlook. Its tool is the healing of human relationships, which it accomplishes by transforming our perception of others to seeing them as fundamentally good and holy. This opens the way for love, which replaces the fear and separateness, and which the Course describes as our natural inheritance. Since its publication in 1976, the Course has gained immense popularity and acclaim. An increasing number of people from varying traditions, cultures, and walks of life have found a home in it.
This course is a year-long spiritual journey, with one meeting each week, following a carefully planned workbook. The goal of the program is to change the perception that we are separated from our Source, to the truth of our unity with our Higher Power. As we learn to forgive and release judgments of our selves and others, we gain God's peace, and well-being, and bring these qualities into our homes and communities.
This is an on-going course and you can join the group any time.
For more information visit the Circle of Atonement website.

FUNDAMENTALS of ASCENSION and
SELF-MASTERY
Thursday evening, 6:30 - 8:30pm
Self-Mastery II
Even though we are building on the first class, this one is open to anyone. We will be exploring deeper understandings into the ascension process. See what happens as the consciousness of life penetrates into and through the various levels of mass consciousness. Some levels will be very familiar depending upon the individual's awareness. Others will probably seem inconceivable. See why integration and developing integrity can have many stumbling blocks. Opening your mind is as important as opening your heart.
Thursday Night Ascension Class with Christian Steele is an informal discussion group which is open to the public. We discuss various topics centered around the ascension process and self-mastery. We also make time for meditation. By bringing understanding and insight into the various aspects of our being we rid ourselves of the limitations that restrict our lives. We recognize that everyone has gifts, and a group setting is a powerful place to share them. The goal is to uplift consciousness so that we may transform our life. Every Thursday evening from 6:30-8:00pm. See Flyer for more details.

INNER ACTION MEDITATION GROUP
With Polly M. Ryan MFT.
Sundays 3:00pm to 5:00pm
Our meditation group will focus on two meditation practices as taught by Lama Tsultrim. The first is the Prajna Paramita practice that teaches us to turn our out-going energy back inward, recognize the ground of being, return home and rest non-conceptually. The second, Feeding Your Demons, is based on the Chod, a Tibetan Buddhist practice discovered by the eleventh-century yogini, Machig Labdron. This approach to life's difficulties, both inner and outer, is based on compassion rather than fear, on engagement rather than attack. These complimentary practices, Feeding Your Demons and Prajna Paramita, are skillful means to address our relative world and to discover our true condition.
Teachings and on-going meditation sessions will be held weekly and beginning students are welcome. Traditionally, the teachings are offered freely and students can offer Dana (suggested Dana $12-$15), the Pali work for generosity, which will be divided between the center, the teacher and a scholarship fund to send someone to retreat at Tara Mandala. If you have questions contact Polly at: pollyryanmft@yahoo.com or 530.587.1978. You may also read Lama Tsultrim's books : Feeding Your Demons and Women of Wisdom and visit her website at www.taramandala.org.
Polly has been a student of Lama Tsultrim Allione and studied Tibetan Buddhism for over two decades. Having met the educational and practice requirements of Lama Tsultrim's Kapala Training in 2008, Polly is now certified as a Feeding Your Demons Therapist and is among those who are currently authorized by Lama Tsultrim to teach this work to others as well as to give transmission for the Prajna Paramita practice. Polly has also studied Shamata, The Four Applications of Mindfulness, Lojong (Seven Point Mind Training),The Four Immeasurables, Tonglen, Dzogchen and other practices with B. Alan Wallace, Ph.D., Tibetan Buddhist scholar, translator and teacher, for over twenty-two years (www.sbinstitute.com ).
