The Shift: Transforming Consciousness in Everyday Life
A talk by Cassandra Vieten, Research Psychologist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences
Friday, January 12th, 2007 at 7 p.m.
Opportunities to actively engage in our own transformation and that of our world are woven into the fabric of our everyday lives. Learning more about how the transformative process actually works can help us make use of those moments that are pregnant with possibility. Research over the last decade at the Institute of Noetic Sciences has systematically surveyed hundreds of people's stories of their own transformations, as well as teachers and masters of the world's spiritual, religious, and transformative traditions. Through video, lecture, and experiential process, this evening will explore part of what we have learned about how people experience deep shifts in their consciousness, and how those deep shifts can be stimulated and nurtured in everyday life.
